In exercising the core corporate value of corporate social responsibility (CSR), Doo Group has formulated collaborations with the Spastic Children’s Association of Selangor & Federal Territory (SCAS & FT) on a series of charity events and has encouraged DOOers to actively participate in these meaningful events.
Stronger Bonds Formed in Preparation for Charity Event
In particular, the “Walk-Jog-Wheel-A-Thon 2023” has gained massive response from DOOers. This event took place on November 19, 2023, at Dataran Merdeka, Kuala Lumpur.
Our DOOers had participated in the categories of the 2km walking with special needs and the 7km open group fun run, and some of them even showcased their talent in the 24 Festive drum performance.
Before the event, our DOOers underwent a series of preparations to ensure that they enter the track field in perfect condition. They have gone for run practices to enhance their stamina and rehearsed for the drumming performance. Although they had faced challenges such as bad weather conditions and injuries, they have continued to support and encourage each other during the preparations for the actual event.
Lifting Peers’ Spirit with a Compassionate Heart
With high spirits, our DOOers participated in the “Walk-Jog-Wheel-A-Thon 2023” event in Dataran Merdeka. During the event, our DOOers constantly showed their compassionate hearts by supporting and encouraging their peers whenever anyone felt like giving up or was tired. They cheered each other on, and handed out water to those in need to reenergize them and bring back their fighting will to complete the whole fun run.
Furthermore, our DOOers have showcased their talent and passion for the event with their stunning drumming performance.
Just as American poet, Mattie Stepanek once said, “Unity is strength. When there is teamwork and collaboration, wonderful things can be achieved.” Our DOOers have fully demonstrated the power of unity with this 24 Festive drum performance. Although each of them came from different backgrounds and expertise, they come together with one goal: to bring an energetic performance to the audiences and lift the spirits of the run participants.
Through their participation in this event, DOOers were able to form a stronger relationship with each other and meet new friends from different departments of the company.
